Ah misleading titles, how you do nothing for my audience.

Oh wait, no, this one is actually relevant.

Last week I mentioned in twitter that I would be heading to doctor. Well, I went and returned not a few hours later. I come bearing something important from that fated meeting. Except for the whole “being morbidly obese” thing, I’m in perfect health. Well, at least my heart and cardio system is. Doc gives me a gold star rating on heart health and doesn’t want to see my mug for another year. For someone who is a Marfan’s Syndrome paitent, that long of a span is an amazing thing and it really points to a happy healthy heart.

That in mind, I need to work on getting the rest of the body healthy. This means one thing. Diet. Yup, time to get back on that horse. It’s time to take Raven’s advice and just try the cut carbs approach. The heart doctor suggested the same thing and well, stubborn as I am, I’m inclined to start listening. Only now I need support from Raven. This isn’t a line of “oh it’s her fault” thing, but just a mention I need her help in my cause to get thin but not suggesting some of the foods stuff that I really don’t need (like awesome but bad for me pizza). I need to get that whole willpower thing to turn it down, but it does help to not even have the temptation in the first place.

Speaking of, Raven’s back in town. Picked her and her friend up from the airport Friday night. Nice drive there, not so nice on the way back. I crashed hard that night too (Sleep wise). Got home around midnight and slept until 10. I guess the week caught up to me. Or maybe it was waking up at 5:20 Friday morning.

I want my weekend back.

So in working on the story I’ve hit a kinda SNAFU… Basically I shared the story with a few folks and got some early feedback. In hindsight, I shouldn’t of done that. Should have finished it then shared it, but ah well, things happen. But I did get good feedback and I realize now not only do I have to redo all the chapters I’ve done already, but that to be where I am right now, I’d probably be closer to chapter 7 or 8 rather than 5. With that in mind, I’m debating what I should do. Should I just restart writing it (meaning I wasted a bunch of time writing), or should I just keep going as if I already wrote those other chapters and then come back to them later? I’m not positive, but I’m thinking the latter. I think I’m going to ask the writer who wrote the book I’ve been following for writing advice about what he thinks, if he’s got some time for a quick question. I think he’ll confirm that it’ll be the latter but it would be nice to just get some advice real fast.

I like that fact, by the way. The fact I know the writer’s SL name and can get writing advice (within reason). I’m not going to make it a habit to bug him daily or even weekly, but just popping a quick IM question shouldn’t be too farfetched. The fact I can be so connected to my interests. For example, besides having one of the writers I enjoy reading as a friend in SL, I also have him and several others writers I like followed on Twitter. I follow the tweets of one of the developers of the Shadowrun RPG and hear neat stuff about some of the gaming industry. I can know when there’s a live feed for a show I like, and it’s cool when I can be aware of what’s happening in my interests.

Honestly, I don’t know how many people read this blog, but if you do and you’re not on twitter, you should be. Even if you don’t tweet much (which I don’t, although my blog tweets for me sometimes), it’s nice to be able to connect to your interests and such. Heck, even if you just follow me you’ll at least get the posts when I update here. Funny is that not only do I have my own twitter feed, but the Dynamic IP super group has one too. I believe I mentioned that at one point in a previous post.

Huh… don’t know where that Twitter Advertising Rant came from…

Here’s  my new current theme. This is nice and will do until I develope my own. Simple, plain, nice.

As I posted last night, I went ahead and locked all the old topics before my quick update in christmas. I also deleted all the twitter posts. Today I’m going to be trying to smooth out what I have on the site and on the site’s arms (Facebook, Twitter, and Livejournal as well). Interesting note about the LJ side, with closing all those old posts here, they suddenly vanished on the LJ side. Pretty interesting actually.

Of to work.

Hey All,

So I’ve been behind on posting here. Gonna change that in the coming weeks with the new year (I’m sure everyone is saying that now). In addition to posting more here, I’m going to be posting over at Cylys as a reviewer and other associated posts. Quick update here though, I’ve updated some tools on the site, updated the copy of wordpress, and I’m about to start editing the categories.

In the future, I’m going to be working on the new site theme. I’m also probably going to start posting tweets here as a weekly digest as opposed to a daily digest. We’ll see if that works better.

Anyway, later folks, talk to you soon.
